The ACCRV program can delay the transition to a long-term care facility for individuals who may have health issues that require professional care and supervision. Caregivers who work are allowed the opportunity to fulfill their responsibilities to their employers and to not worry about leaving their family members at home unattended.

The Shriners Children's Hospitals treat all children without regard to any family's ability to pay. They offer care for a range of orthopedic issues, as well as care for burn injuries, craniofacial conditions, spine care and spinal cord injuries, colorectal and gastrointestinal care and sports medicine. Their experienced, innovative and dedicated teams work together to provide treatment to help each patient meet their goals and reach their full potential.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace ⇨ Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) believes all children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In the Roanoke and New River Valleys, too many boys and girls go without a bed. These children must sleep on couches, blankets and even floors, and this can affect their happiness and health. That is where SHP fills a need. They are a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering high-quality bunk beds to children and families in need. At SHP, they believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional and mental support that a child needs. There are few organizations that address this essential need, and SHP is one of those organizations. As such, if children need a bed, SHP wants to be sure they are provided.

The Least of These Ministry ⇨ The Least of These Ministry (TLTM) is an organization that strives to make a positive impact in the lives of the homeless community in the Roanoke Valley. Its mission is to meet men and women living on the streets and to serve them with spiritual, physical and emotional support. There are many circumstances that can cause homelessness, such as job loss, natural disasters and mental illness. In addition, many homeless people receive disability checks, but their income isn't enough to cover minimum living expenses. Regardless of the reason for their living situation, TLTM views all people as worthy to be served. The services provided by TLTM include assisting in finding housing, meeting immediate needs on the streets and providing a place to improve hygiene.
